Hello my fellow Bookworms and page turners,
As Promised I am back with Priest of Lies, and I think it’s in record time! But is it as good as the first? No, its even better!
Priest of Lies is the second instalment in the War for the Rose Throne series. Six months have passed since the end of the first installment, and quite a lot has changed for our main protagonist, Tomas Piety, now a member of high society. However, despite his new found status, he feels he is no match for the nobility. In fact he finds himself conflicted as now that he is married, he has to walk in the footsteps of the upper echelons of society, and in doing so he has to be something that he is not. Tomas is a fighter, with a sword in hand and a battle cry on his breath, not a fencing nobleman who pits words against a mans character rather, than a blade to their throat.
The plot moves from Ellinburg to Dannsburg where the Queen resides and then back again, but dont fret as trouble and strife are always close by. We see the return of many of the same amazing characters from the first book. Tomas is still forever loyal to his friends, especially Bloody Anne. This book like the first is dark, gritty and has a well told story of power, corruption, intrigue and personal relationships. What more can I say? Except, get a copy for yourself, and bring on book 3!
Until next time, read more books!
