Title: The Paladin Prophecy
Author: Mark Frost
Published: 25th Sept 2012
Hello my fellow Bookworms and page turners,
We are back again with another fantasy book this week. The Paladin Prophecy is an action packed read more akin to a full-on action movie, something along the lines of ” The Bourne Identity” meets Harry Potter.
I was immediately gripped by this one, as it really threw us into the action from the get-go. The story follows our main protagonist, Will who has always lived by a book of rules his Dad made for him. In fact he has lived his whole life pretending to be normal, getting average grades, and moving about every fifteen months. His parents have never given him any real explanation as to why he needs to do this, but he trusts them. Then he makes a mistake and scores extraordinary high on a nationwide exam. Now people want him to go to an exclusive prep school and he’s followed by black sedans. Then when something strange happens to his mom, and he runs. His skills are put to the test and he realizes the rules that his parents taught him to live by may just save his life.
Not only is it an action-packed romp, the story also cultivates a high level of intrigue and the story invokes so many questions. Especially questions concerning Will himself, his abilities, and his pursuers. However it left me with a lot of unanswered questions, and I need more answers. The ending was intense, and I was on the edge of my seat!
Until next time, read more books!
