Title: Will Destroy the Galaxy for Cash
Author: Yahtzee Croshaw
Published: 26th September 2019

Hello my fellow Bookworms and page turners,

Where back again for another rip-snorting adventure full of satire and sci-fi trope goodness, but will Croshaw deliver a sequel equally as good as ‘Will save the Galaxy for food!’ set your phasers to fun! As this one should be quite a ride!

Jacques McKeown, or at least the man pretending to be him, is back for his second adventure. After saving the galaxy for food, is now trying his hand at villainy? and is on a course to destroy it!

With the happy ending of the first book thoroughly destroyed within the first few pages of this second installement. Our protagonist is manipulated into attending a conference to again pose as Jacques McKeown. This time his attendence is required in order for him to participate in a teeny weeny, slightly illegal, daring heist, to obtain an antidote created by the events sponsers. This antidote will not only secure our protagonists future finances, but will also cure his childhood hero of a terrible disease.

But he isnt going in blind, he is armed with a well rounded plan, that is masterminded by a straight-laced woman (Warden), and is backed up by a pair of wacky ‘reformed’ super villains, so, what could possibly go wrong?!

I admit I thought I knew what I was going to get with this one, but it was different, and I think I actually like this one even more then than the first one. The story starts off slower than the first book, but the over all core, story, & supporting characters are superior to the first installment. the dripping sarcasm and whit of Croshaw is still present, although I admit I didnt find this one quite as funny as the first, but that doesnt mean that this one isnt funny. I found myself smiling and chuckling along with it on more than one occasion.

I could waste time telling you what happens in the book, but really, the story is half the reason to read it. I will say however that this is not a book to read if you have not read the first installment. Also dont expect a definitive ending to this one as it leaves a nice open segway that I hope guarantees that a third installment is on the cards! Please let there be a third one!

This is wacky Firefly meets Startrek mishmash of a Space Opera with elements of Flash Gordon. If you like science fiction, and a story that doesnt take itself too seriously, then this is the series for you.

Until next time, read more books!
